Adventurehimal.com was started by Sanjiv Thakuri , a native Himalayan travel professional with more than 2 decades of experience in the service industry. A Graduate of arts from Delhi University, Sanjiv began his career in the National parks of Nepal working as a Naturalist for a number of years. Later he joined some of the leading adventure companies and worked as an outdoor leader in India, Nepal, Tibet and the Alps. He also holds a degree in First Aid and evacuation from recognized institution in Nepal. Currently Sanjiv is pursuing his MBA degree in order to gain academic knowledge of the broader administration of the business. With more than 15 years of leading trip outdoors, he is skilled in ecotourism and outdoor education and ways in which they can benefit individuals and society.

Adventurehimal.com is among a handful of organizations who have ventured to give something back in return to the environment and the local communities. In association with some leading adventure enthusiasts in Nepal, we undertake various community based projects, school partnerships, tree planting projects, river conservation and preserving the environment so that it can be saved for the future generation.
