The Annapurna himal range is unique and diversified naturally, culturally and ethnically. The forested hillsides and slopes are an excellent habitat for a wide range of birds, mammals and butterflies. This trek is a rare combination of snow capped peaks, deep gorges, Buddhist monasteries and a mosaic of ethnic group of friendly local people. Home to the Gurungs, the world renowned Gurkha soldiers, this area offers Nepali hospitality, at its best.


ITINNERARY

Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu / transfer to hotel.
Day 02: Half day sightseeing tour of the old part of Kathmandu city.
Day 03: Fly Pokhara, trek to Birethanti.
Day 04: Trek to Ghorepani.
Day 05: Trek to Banthanti.
Day 06: Trek to Ghandruk.
Day 07: Trek to Nayapul and conclude trek. Drive back to Pokhara.
Day 08: In Pokhara.
Day 09: Drive to Kathmandu.
Day 10: Optional flight over Everest, free day in Kathmandu.
Day 11: Departure



Trip Grade
: Moderate walking.

Best Season: February to May in Spring and October to December in Autumn.


Recommended Equipments
: Good pair of well worn hiking boots, Gortex quality water proof jacket and trousers, fleece jacket, camp shoes or sandals, Cotton trousers, tee shirts and shorts, sun hat, gloves, day pack, water bottle, sun glasses, flash light with spare batteries, insect repellent, bio-degradable toiletries, sewing kit, binoculars, playing cards and personal medical kit.


Trek Cost
: Min 2 pax US $ 800 per person on a twin sharing basis.


Cost includes
: Hotel accommodation in Kathmandu and Pokhara on B/B basis, Flight Ktm – Pkr, tea house trek with an experienced guide, accommodation in comfortable lodges, breakfast, lunch and dinner on trek, Trek Permits, National Park and Conservation Fees and all ground transportation.

Not included: Client insurance, emergency evacuation costs, video fees in National Parks, Bottled drinks, hot showers, personal clothing and equipment.
