This ultimate challenge is an outstanding trek to the base camp of the world’s highest mountain allowing time to explore the famous villages and monasteries in the foot of the world’s highest peak. Following the classic expedition route to Thyangboche, we trek higher above the tree line to a moraine of the Khumbu glacier bringing us to Lobuche. We make an early morning ascent of kala Patthar (5,554 m), a ridge south of Mt. Pumori to be rewarded with incredible panorama of Everest, Cho Oyu, Lohtse and Makalu. Colorful fluttering prayer flags and Buddhist monasteries along the way are symbolic to the traditional Sherpa culture.


Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu/ transfer to hotel. Day 02: Half day sightseeing tour of the old part of Kathmandu city. Day 03: Fly Kathmandu/ Lukla – trek to Phakding. Day 04: Trek to Namche bazaar. Acclimatization day in Namche. Day 05:Day 06: Trek to Thengboche. Day 07: Trek to Pheriche. Day 08: Trek to Lobuche. Day 09: Early start to Gorakshep, climb Kalapathar then trek back to Lobuche. Day 10: Trek to Pangboche. Day 11: Trek to Namche Bazar. Day 12: Trek to Phakding. Day 13: Trek to Lukla to conclude the trek. Fly to Kathmandu. Day 14:Day 15: At leisure in Kathmandu. Day 16: Departure.


Trip Grade: Strenuous trekking with an altitude gain above 5000 meters

Best Season: February to May in Spring and October to December in Autumn.


Recommended Equipments: Good pair of well worn hiking boots, Gortex quality water proof jacket and trousers, fleece jacket, camp shoes or sandals, Cotton trousers, tee shirts and shorts, sun hat, gloves, day pack, water bottle, sun glasses, flash light with spare batteries, insect repellent, bio-degradable toiletries, sewing kit, binoculars, playing cards and personal medical kit.


Trek Cost: Min 2 pax US $ 1500 per person on a twin sharing basis.


Cost includes: Hotel accommodation in Kathmandu on B/B basis, Flight Ktm – Lukla, tea house trek with an experienced guide, accommodation in comfortable lodges, breakfast, lunch and dinner on trek, Trek Permits, National Park and Conservation Fees and all ground transportation.

Not included: Client insurance, emergency evacuation costs, video fees in National Parks, Bottled and alcoholic drinks, personal clothing and equipment.
